Digta SonicMic customizes dictation process

Digta SonicMic

First desktop dictation microphone with flexible, adjustable sliding switch

Published: 06/02/2008

CHICAGO, IL, USA - (HealthTech Wire) - Grundig Business Systems, a world-leading manufacturer of professional dictation systems, has launched a new version of its popular Digta SonicMic desktop dictation microphone with a unique adjustment screw to further increase user friendliness. With the new version, the professional user can individually adjust the ergonomic sliding switch from a clear, accentuated snap to a smooth switch, making the Digta SonicMic easy to adapt to individual user requirements. Just like its predecessor, the new microphone can also be precisely tailored to individual needs using the AdapterServer tool, enabling users to assign up to 22 PC controls or dictation controls to the slide switch positions and function keys.

Easy dictating

The “clear soft touch composite” surface of the dictation microphone provides added comfort during longer dictation sessions. Thanks to its ergonomic shape, the device can be used easily with one hand. But the "mouse control” can also be used as an alternative to the PC mouse. This means that all digital processing on the computer can be controlled via Track Point. Using a USB cable, the user reads the text directly into the PC and can then edit it immediately using the DigtaSoft software. Users who do not need so many functions for desktop dictation can still use the Digta SonicMic Classic or choose from Grundig Business Systems’ wide range of desktop dictation devices.

The Digta SonicMic also supports the DSSPro advanced speech standard. Using DigtaSoft PC software, this ensures superior sound quality for voice recordings and is the ideal basis for the successful use of voice recognition systems. In addition, DSSPro enables the user to benefit from a universal security concept.
