EHTEL to host eHealth symposium in Brussels

Published: 08/06/2009

BRUSSELS, BE – (HealthTech Wire / News) – In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the European Health Telematics Associations (EHTEL) invites members, friends, colleagues and all eHealth enthusiasts in Europe to the Symposium "Joining for Visions of Person-centric Health".  The two-day conference will be held in Brussels, 21-22 October 2009, and will be hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

Registration is now open at www.ehtel.org/symposium.

The Symposium will convene between 100 and 150 policy makers, users, researchers and vendors.  Keynote speakers will review the progress in eHealth over the last ten years and develop healthcare visions for the future.  Presentations will highlight individual aspects of eHealth such as reality checks on telemedicine, the state of reimbursement for telehealth services, regulatory matters, and current practice in hospital and ambulatory care.  A panel will convene protagonists of new health and eHealth trends and representatives of various eHealth stakeholder groups to debate latest trends and visions.

The symposium will also incorporate an EHTEL Annual General Meeting where guests are invited.  EHTEL task forces and other groups will convene for open sessions to chart strategies for the future.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, EHTEL will host a lunch reception and a festive gala dinner.

More information, including latest program updates and registration, is available at www.ehtel.org/symposium. As seats are limited, all interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
