European Commission-sponsored eHealth Procurers Forum goes live

Published: 03/14

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - (HealthTech Wire) - The European Commission (EC) announced today that the eHealth Procurers Forum, an initiative sponsored by the EC, went live today at www.epractice.eu. The initiative has been designed to help practitioners in eHealth procurement in  Europe to meet and to share their experiences and knowledge, to ask for advice and provide support. The community is open to practitioners from European national and regional administrations, from public and private organisations, from academia and research centres.

“The eHealth Procurers Forum is an open space for expressing opinions and exchanging knowledge. Hopefully, the large variety of stakeholders which we address with the eHealth Procurers Forum will provide different contributions, approaches and points of view, establishing a valuable source for business knowledge that helps drive the adoption of eHealth solutions across the European Union,” said Corinne Wenner, Information & Communication Officer, ICT for Health, European Commission, and one of the initiators of the group.

The community is mainly focused on technical and organisational aspects of eHealth Procurement. While the European Commission sponsors and supports the initiative, the eHealth Procurers Forum is not an official website of the government body.
