Published: 10/13

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - (HealthTech Wire / News) - Medical specialists at this year’s World of Health IT conference and exhibition, which will be held in Copenhagen on November 4-6, will be able to claim Continuing Medical Education (CME) for attending the event.

Continuing education credits has been made possible by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Under the terms of the agreement, medical professionals may claim up to 15 hours of credit for time spent in educational activity.

As well as being applicable in Europe, EACCME credits are also recognised by the American Medical Association (AMA) towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, delegates are advised to contact the AMA.

World of Health IT is the pre-eminent education, exhibition and networking event for senior professionals in the e-health space. The event brings together all stakeholders including physicians, IT managers and decision makers, hospital leadership, nursing practitioners, policy makers and vendors, all of whom benefit from world class education, debate and demonstrations on the latest developments in the field of e-Health.

For any further questions regarding EACCME credits please contact: Mallory Gott, Manager, Education, HIMSS Europe at mgott@himss.org.
