The HIMSS Analytics Europe Stage 6 & 7 Awards will honor hospitals that operate in a paperless environment and represent best practices in implementation of EMR.

LEIPZIG, GERMANY - (HealthTech Wire / News) - HIMSS Analytics Europe announced that it will be awarding EMRAM Stage 6 & 7 awards to hospitals from France, Spain and the Netherlands at its annual CIO Summit taking place in Mallorca, November 18-20, 2012. The European EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) has been adapted to meet the unique needs of European Healthcare Institutions as a methodology for evaluating the progress and impact of electronic medical record systems in hospitals. Tracking their progress in completing eight stages (0-7), hospitals can review the implementation and utilization of information technology applications with the intent of reaching Stage 7, which represents a superior electronic patient record environment.
