GoPubMed is a search engine querying the PubMed-database at the National Library of Medicine, USA and visualizing the results according to terms from the Gene Ontology and Medical Subject Headings.

Results are semantically organized in different categories. Four of these categories are: What, Who, Where and When. The hierarchical organization of retrieved information is done with ©Transinsight's algorithms.
Under the Who category GoPubMed now allows users to identify experts in the biomedical field and gain important information on recent research topics by viewing their networks. Users can edit and update author's profiles. Users can contact authors via GoPubMed. These functionalities are freely available in GoPubMed.
