Founded in 2004 by former Programme Manager for the NHS Information Authority, Judy Aldred, SSentif delivers online data management and analysis solutions and has already developed the widest range of fully analysable public sector data in the UK.
Ssentif offers access to its bespoke data analysis system of 35,000 different indicators and ten years of historical data via a subscription service. Now for the first time, it is offering healthcare organisations the chance to commission and purchase personalised analysis and reports, as part of a new service called SSentif Discovery.
Ssentif Discovery reports allow healthcare organisations facing significant budget cuts to benchmark against other organisations and identify areas where savings can be made. They can select which areas of their performance they want to focus on, which other organisations they want to be compared to and what questions they would like to be answered. The reports include benchmarking metrics, value for money metrics, performance statistics and improvement rates.
Judy Aldred, managing director of SSentif, said: “Hospitals in England have been told they must do much better at improving productivity if patient care is not going to suffer in the coming years, yet the NHS has also been told to make £20bn of savings by 2015 - leaving healthcare organisations in a difficult position. There’s no doubt that blanket cuts would impact on patient care, so we’ve launched SSentif Discovery to give organisations a way to monitor their performance against their peers and benchmark their spend on services so that they can make informed decisions.”
